A weekly class is a great way to learn the techniques and gain inspiration. To fully realise the benefits a student needs to practise regularly three to five days a week, even if it’s only for 15 minutes a time. As an adult nurse, yoga / pilates and fitness teacher with 15 years' experience, Zoe can assure you of a safe, knowledgeable class adapted to your abilities.

Yoga engages the mind as well as the body. Purely physical exercise, such as press-ups, can be done almost without thinking. Yoga postures must be approached with concentration and awareness. You are not targeting just one area but the whole body.
The benefits of stretching your muscles are equally important to a busy mum or a stressed-out executive. Some physical exercise can overdevelop muscles, contributing to a variety of problems — tight hamstrings in runners, for example. Yoga works to stretch hamstrings rather than contract them. I know of runners who do yoga, too, and they say it improves their running.
Why Yoga and Meditation ?
They are ideal for all ages and stages. People may think they cannot do it, perhaps because they have seen advanced yogis in extreme poses or long meditations but even the most unfit person can start doing both, as the postures can be adapted to suit them and the meditations adapted.
Through our Mindfulness workshops we help you become familiar with meditation in a gentle and wholesome way.
